Music Collab Contract

This agreement (“Agreement”) is made and entered into as of [date] by and between [Name of Party 1], with a mailing address of [Address], and [Name of Party 2], with a mailing address of [Address].

  1. Purpose of the Agreement: The purpose of this Agreement is to outline the terms and conditions of a musical collaboration between the parties.
  2. Responsibilities of the Parties:
  • Party 1 agrees to provide the musical composition and instrumental tracks for the collaboration.
  • Party 2 agrees to provide the vocal performance and lyrics for the collaboration.
  • Both parties agree to work collaboratively to produce the final mix of the collaboration.
  1. Ownership and Rights:
  • Party 1 will retain all ownership and rights to the musical composition and instrumental tracks, and Party 2 will retain all ownership and rights to the vocal performance and lyrics.
  • The parties will jointly own the master recording of the collaboration.
  1. Revenue Share:
  • All revenue generated by the collaboration will be split 50/50 between the parties.
  • Revenue includes but is not limited to sales, streaming, licensing, and performance royalties.
  1. Credits:
  • Both parties will receive equal billing and credit on all releases, promotional materials, and performances related to the collaboration.
  • Party 1 will be credited as the composer and producer of the musical composition, and Party 2 will be credited as the performer and lyricist.
  1. Term:
  • This Agreement shall commence on the date of execution and shall continue until all obligations under this Agreement have been fulfilled.
  1. Termination:
  • Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time upon written notice to the other party.
  • In the event of termination, the parties will equally split any revenue generated up to the date of termination.
  1. Governing Law:
  • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Country].
